Kulshan, Coleman Deming
Adventuring on the lands of the Nlaka'pamux and Nooksack people.

Route Description:
It can be a single day push, although camping at Hogsback or Black Buttes may be preferred. Start at the Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead where you will hike the Heliotrope Trail up to Hogsback Camp. As you transition for snow travel you might as well rope up too.
Continue south, then southeast along Heliotrope Ridge from which you will eventually skirt the north face of Colfax Peak along the Coleman Glacier. Evaluate overhead danger and crevasses as you gain line of sight on the Coleman-Deming Col which you will climb to at 9,000 feet. From the col, continue northeast along Pumice ridge to about 10,000 feet from which you will pick a line up the Roman Wall.
At around 10,680 feet you will gain the summit plateau where you may want to transition to skins for swift travel across to the final summit. At, 10,786 feet you will have. beautiful view of the North Cascades. Keep those skins on, cause you'll want to traverse back over to your line of descent atop the Roman Wall.
From here, enjoy continuous skiing back along your climbing route until you reach the end of the snow where you'll transition for your exit hike.
