Guye Peak, East Couloir
Adventuring on the lands of the sdukʷalbixʷ (Snoqualmie) people.

Route Description:
Parking at Summit West's parking area, this tour starts across the I-90 where the Kendall tours begin.
Begin skinning east along the PCT trail towards Kendall Knob, but then turn north along the Old Commonwealth Basin trail. You'll follow this trail for about .9 miles till you need to find a creek crossing. Once across the creek, continue north for another .5 mile before you turn left (northwest) to head up slope towards the saddle between Guye Peak and Cave Ridge.
You'll be moving through dense forest but sticking to the gully should line you up with the Saddle's low point. Once at the saddle, head south along the ridge up Guye Peak. It's likely that you'll have to boot this section, and beware of wind slabs since you will now be entering exposed terrain. The actual entrance is north of the summit, but take a moment to ascend the north summit for a look out at the surrounding mountains. Dropping a short way north down the ridge off the northern summit, you will find the entrance to the East Couloir.
The entrance varies on the time of year, but in some cases it may require a belay. Ski fall line, which will take you southeast in the couloir then eastward through the trees.
As you reach the bottom of the slopes, start skiing south to relink up with the same creek crossing from your way in. Then ski the skin track back out.
